Operating from Peterborough and Toronto, Ontario, Canada, A.G. City Wholesale Ltd. "started very small", in 1988, when Andreas and Isabella Gauster purchased a number of books, and began visiting local businesses, leaving their displays and order sheets, practicing the time-honored method of door-to-door sales. Leaving samples of books with people in their places of work was relatively new back then and was very much appreciated by Canadian consumers - and is even more so to this day. In 1997, Mike Roy joined the company as a partner and operates the buying office in Toronto, Ontario. A.G. CITY buys over 3 million products each year. Dealing with over 200 suppliers, Mike insures that A.G. CITY has an excellent selection of books and gifts that sell at extremely affordable prices.

Today, the book publishers of the world come to them. Without advertising, Andy, Isabella and Mike have seen the company's list of distributors grow to more than 200 clients - with representatives operating in every province in Canada and most of the United States. Company associates, in Canada alone, currently generate close to $18-million in annual retail revenue.

Each year, Mike and our purchasing staff travel to London, Frankfurt, Chicago, New York, Bologna, Los Angeles and Hong Kong attending all of the major trade shows to see the newest products. We often order in quantities of 50,000 or more in the following categories: children's literature, how to, cookbooks, inspirational, gardening, encyclopedias, dictionaries, books on wellness and motivation being the product lines of choice.
